La Reserva cacao has been independently lab-tested by Midwest Laboratories in Omaha, Nebraska. Results from the most recent batch confirm:

• Cadmium: 0.246 ppm (mg/kg) → equivalent to 0.0 mg per 100 g
• Lead: <0.10 ppm (mg/kg) → equivalent to 0.0 mg per 100 g

Both values are well below the maximum levels permitted by USDA and EU standards for cacao products.

El Clásico cacao has been independently lab-tested by Agrilab Servicios Ambientales y Agriícolas, Colombia on 23 September 2025. Results from the most recent batch confirm:

• Cadmium: 0.337 ppm (mg/kg) → equivalent to 0.0 mg per 100 g
• Lead: Lead was not tested as part of this most recent lab report, however, we have sent a sample to Midwest Laboratories to have the cacao tested for lead, and the results should be back by 1 December 2025 upon which we will update the website.

Cadmium levels are below the maximum levels permitted by USDA and EU standards for cacao products.

At Bitcoin Beans, we are committed to maintaining these standards. While not every block is individually tested, we conduct annual laboratory testing to ensure our cacao remains within safe limits. The Proof of Purity stamp is our promise of ongoing transparency and accountability.
